Surah An-Naml (27:1–93)

Qur’an-only explanation. Each verse is covered; some are explained in tight 2–4 verse groups so the meaning stays complete without repetition.
Main themes: Qur’an as guidance; Moses’ signs; Solomon’s gratitude and governance; Queen of Sheba’s conversion; Salih and Lot; repeated proofs of tawhid; the unseen belongs to Allah; Resurrection scenes; final command to worship and recite.
How this surah works:
Guidance Tawhid Proofs Gratitude Arrogance Hereafter Unseen
27:1–6
Opening: Qur’an is clear guidance; believers act; denial of the Hereafter distorts perception

1.Ta. Seen. These are the verses of the Qur’an and a clear Book.

2.A guidance and good tidings for the believers,

3.who establish prayer and give the poor-due, and they are certain of the Hereafter.

4.Those who do not believe in the Hereafter—We have made their deeds seem fair to them, so they wander blindly.

5.For them is the worst punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.

6.And you (Muhammad) receive the Qur’an from One All-Wise, All-Aware.

✅ Verse 1

“Ta. Seen. These are the verses of the Qur’an and a clear Book.”

Simple meaning:

Allah starts the surah with special letters: Ta, Seen. Then Allah says: These are verses from the Qur’an, and it is a clear book.

Child meaning:

It’s like when a teacher starts the lesson with a special title or code. We may not fully know the secret meaning of Ta Seen, but we know this:

  • ✅ The Qur’an is not confusing
  • ✅ It is clear
  • ✅ It explains truth

Example:

It’s like a school rulebook that is written clearly so you don’t get lost.

✅ Verse 2

“A guidance and good tidings for the believers.”

Simple meaning:

The Qur’an is:

  • ✅ guidance (it shows the right path)
  • ✅ good news for believers

Child meaning:

The Qur’an is like a bright flashlight in the dark. It helps believers know:

  • what is right
  • what is wrong
  • what to avoid
  • what leads to Jannah

Good tidings means Allah is telling believers:

  • ✅ “You are on the right path.”
  • ✅ “Good reward is coming.”

✅ Verse 3

“Who establish prayer and give the poor-due, and they are certain of the Hereafter.”

Simple meaning:

Believers are people who:

  • ✅ pray properly
  • ✅ give charity (zakat) to help the poor
  • ✅ truly believe the Hereafter is real

Child meaning:

A real believer doesn’t just “say” they believe. They show it with actions:

  1. They pray
Like checking in with Allah every day.
  2. They give to the poor
They don’t forget people who are struggling.
  3. They believe in the Hereafter
They are sure that one day:
    • ✅ everyone will be judged
    • ✅ every good deed will be rewarded
    • ✅ every ظلم will be answered for

Example:

It’s like a child who knows the teacher is watching and there will be a test— so they behave properly, even when nobody is looking.

Verse 27:3 illustration

✅ Verse 4

“Those who do not believe in the Hereafter—We have made their deeds seem fair to them, so they wander blindly.”

Simple meaning:

People who reject the Hereafter start thinking their bad actions are “fine”. So they get lost and keep doing wrong.

Child meaning:

When someone stops believing in judgement, they begin to think:

  • “It doesn’t matter.”
  • “No one will stop me.”
  • “I can do what I want.”

So their heart becomes confused. They start walking around like someone who is blind, even though they are alive and moving.

Example:

Imagine someone says: “I don’t believe in rules anymore.” Then even danger signs don’t stop them. They walk into trouble because they don’t care.

Verse 27:4 illustration

✅ Verse 5

“For them is the worst punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.”

Simple meaning:

For those people who reject truth:

  • ✅ they will face a severe punishment
  • ✅ and in the Hereafter they lose the most

Child meaning:

This is the biggest loss:

  • Not losing money.
  • Not losing a game.
  • But losing the next life forever.

Because if someone keeps rejecting truth and ظلم continues, then they end up with:

  • ❌ regret
  • ❌ punishment
  • ❌ no reward

Example:

It’s like failing the final exam after being warned all year… but even bigger, because it affects forever.

Verse 27:5 illustration

✅ Verse 6

“And you (Muhammad) receive the Qur’an from One All-Wise, All-Aware.”

Simple meaning:

Allah tells the Prophet ﷺ: You are receiving this Qur’an from:

  • All-Wise (Allah knows the best way to guide people)
  • All-Aware (Allah knows everything that happens)

Child meaning:

Allah is saying: “This message is coming from Me.”

And Allah is not like humans who guess. Allah knows:

  • ✅ what’s in every heart
  • ✅ what people hide
  • ✅ what is truly best for us

So the Qur’an is perfect guidance because it comes from the One who knows everything.

Example:

It’s like getting instructions from the person who made the whole world. Of course the instructions will be correct.

Verse 27:6 illustration

✅ Big Lesson from Verses 1–6 (Super Simple)

  • 📌 The Qur’an is a clear guide.
  • 📌 Believers prove it by prayer + charity + certainty of the Hereafter.
  • 📌 People who reject the Hereafter start thinking wrong is “okay,” then they get lost.
  • 📌 The Qur’an comes from Allah, the Most Wise and the One who knows everything.
27:7–14
Moses at the fire; Allah speaks; signs (staff, hand); Pharaoh’s people label it “magic” despite inward certainty

7.Moses said to his family: “I have seen a fire. I will bring news from it, or a burning brand so you may warm yourselves.”

8.When he came to it, he was called: “Blessed is whoever is in the fire and whoever is around it. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”

9.“O Moses, indeed it is I—Allah, the All-Mighty, the Wise.”

10.“Throw down your staff.” When he saw it writhing like a snake, he fled. “O Moses, do not fear. Messengers do not fear in My presence.”

11.“Except one who wronged, then replaced evil with good—then I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

12.“Put your hand into your bosom; it will come out white without disease—among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people. They are disobedient.”

13.When Our signs came clearly, they said: “This is obvious magic.”

14.They rejected them wrongfully and arrogantly though their souls acknowledged them. See the end of the corruptors.

✅ Verse 7

Moses said to his family:
“I saw a fire. I will bring news from it, or a burning stick so you can warm yourselves.”

Simple meaning:

Moses (Musa) and his family were traveling, and it was cold and dark. He saw a fire far away, so he said:

  • ✅ “Let me go check it.”
  • ✅ “Maybe I can find directions.”
  • ✅ “Or bring some fire to warm you up.”

Child meaning:

It’s like when your family is outside at night, and you see a light far away and say:

“Wait here. I’ll go see what it is.”

Verse 27:7 illustration

✅ Verse 8

When he came to it, he was called:
“Blessed is whoever is in the fire and whoever is around it. Glory be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”

Simple meaning:

When Musa reached the fire, something amazing happened… He heard a voice calling him. And it said:

  • ✅ “This place is blessed (special).”
  • ✅ “Allah is perfect and above everything.”

Child meaning:

It’s like Musa walked into a super special moment where Allah was about to speak to him. And Allah starts by reminding:

  • ✅ “I am the Lord of everything.”
  • ✅ “I am pure and perfect.”

Verse 27:8 illustration

✅ Verse 9

“O Moses, indeed it is I—Allah, the All-Mighty, the Wise.”

Simple meaning:

Allah tells Musa clearly:

  • ✅ “It is Me, Allah.”

Allah describes Himself as:

  • All-Mighty (stronger than everything)
  • Wise (always knows the best way)

Child meaning:

It’s like the King of the universe is saying:

“Musa… I am Allah. I am powerful. I never make mistakes.”

Verse 27:9 illustration

✅ Verse 10

“Throw down your staff.”
When Musa saw it writhing like a snake, he fled.
Allah said: “O Moses, do not fear. Messengers do not fear in My presence.”

Simple meaning:

Allah told Musa:

“Throw your stick down.”

Then Musa threw it… and the stick turned into a real moving snake. Musa got scared and ran away. But Allah said:

  • ✅ “Don’t be afraid.”
  • ✅ “You are safe with Me.”
  • ✅ “Messengers don’t need to fear in My presence.”

Child meaning:

Imagine you throw your pencil on the ground, and it turns into a snake. You would run too.

But Allah told Musa:

“Relax. This is a miracle from Me. You are safe.”

Verse 27:10 illustration

✅ Verse 11

“Except one who wronged, then replaced evil with good—then I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”

Simple meaning:

Allah says something very important: Even if a person did wrong before…

  • ✅ if they stop
  • ✅ and they replace bad with good
  • ✅ Allah will forgive them

Because Allah is:

  • Oft-Forgiving
  • Most Merciful

Child meaning:

It’s like Allah is saying:

“If you made mistakes before, you are not finished.”

If you change and do good now… Allah can still forgive you.

Example:

Like a kid who breaks something, then says sorry and starts behaving better. A good parent forgives them.

Verse 27:11 illustration

✅ Verse 12

“Put your hand into your shirt; it will come out white without disease—among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people. They are disobedient.”

Simple meaning:

Allah gave Musa another miracle:

  • ✅ Put your hand inside your shirt
  • ✅ Pull it out
  • ✅ It comes out shining bright white

But it is NOT sickness. It is a miracle.

And Allah says these miracles are part of nine signs Musa will show to Pharaoh. Because Pharaoh and his people were:

  • ✅ disobedient
  • ✅ arrogant
  • ✅ doing ظلم

Child meaning:

Allah gave Musa “super clear signs” so no one can say:

“I didn’t know.”

Like when a teacher gives you many warnings, not just one.

Verse 27:12 illustration

✅ Verse 13

When the signs came clearly, they said: “This is obvious magic.”

Simple meaning:

When Pharaoh and his people saw the miracles… Instead of believing, they said:

  • ❌ “This is magic.”

They knew it was not normal… but they still refused.

Child meaning:

It’s like someone sees something true and obvious… But they don’t want to accept it. So they make an excuse.

They say:

  • “Fake.”
  • “Magic.”
  • “Trick.”

Verse 27:13 illustration

✅ Verse 14

They rejected them wrongfully and arrogantly, though their souls knew it was true. See the end of the corruptors.

Simple meaning:

This is one of the strongest lines: They rejected the signs…

  • ✅ not because they were confused
  • ✅ but because they were proud and arrogant

Inside their hearts, they knew it was true. But they still said no.

And Allah says: Look what happened to those corrupt people in the end.

Child meaning:

They were like:

“I know this is real… but I don’t want to follow.”

Why? Because of pride.

Like a kid who knows he’s wrong… but refuses to say sorry because he wants to act “big.”

Allah warns us:

  • ✅ Pride can destroy a person
  • ✅ Rejecting truth on purpose leads to punishment

Verse 27:14 illustration

✅ The Big Story Lesson (Verses 7–14)

Allah is teaching us:

  • ✅ Musa was chosen by Allah
  • ✅ Allah gave him miracles as proof
  • ✅ Allah told him not to fear
  • ✅ Allah forgives people who change
  • ✅ Pharaoh rejected truth out of pride
  • ✅ Some people don’t reject because of “lack of evidence”
  • They reject because they don’t want to submit
27:15–44
David & Solomon: knowledge as favor; governance with jinn/men/birds; ant’s warning; hoopoe report; Sheba’s sun-worship; Solomon’s letter; queen’s diplomacy; throne brought; glass palace; her submission to Allah

15.We gave David and Solomon knowledge; they said: “Praise be to Allah who favored us above many believing servants.”

16.Solomon inherited David and said: “We were taught the language of birds and given of all things—this is evident favor.”

17.Solomon’s armies of jinn, men, and birds were gathered and arranged.

18.When they came to the valley of ants, an ant said: “Enter your dwellings lest Solomon’s armies crush you unknowingly.”

19.He smiled and prayed to be grateful and do righteous deeds, and be admitted among the righteous.

20.He inspected the birds: “Why do I not see the hoopoe—or is he absent?”

21.“I will punish him severely or slaughter him unless he brings a clear excuse.”

22.The hoopoe came: “I learned what you have not; I bring true news from Sheba.”

23.“I found a woman ruling them; she has abundance and a mighty throne.”

24.“I found her and her people prostrating to the sun; Satan beautified their deeds and blocked the path.”

25.“So they do not prostrate to Allah, who brings out what is hidden and knows what you conceal and reveal.”

26.“Allah—no god but Him—Lord of the Supreme Throne.”

27.Solomon said: “We will see if you are truthful or lying.”

28.“Take this letter; deliver it; then withdraw and observe their response.”

29.The queen said: “O chiefs, a noble letter has been delivered to me.”

30.“It is from Solomon—and it is: In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.”

31.“Do not exalt yourselves against me; come to me in submission.”

32.She said: “Advise me. I decide nothing without you present.”

33.They said: “We have strength and might; command as you will.”

34.She said: “When kings enter a town, they ruin it and humble its honored people—so they do.”

35.“I will send a gift and see what reply returns.”

36.When they came, Solomon said: “Would you help me with wealth? What Allah gave me is better. You rejoice in your gift.”

37.“Return: we will come with armies you cannot resist; we will drive them out disgraced and abased.”

38.He said: “O chiefs, who will bring me her throne before they come in submission?”

39.A strong jinn said: “I will bring it before you rise; I am strong and trustworthy.”

40.One with knowledge of the Scripture said: “I will bring it before your glance returns.” When it was before him, he said: “This is my Lord’s favor to test gratitude or ingratitude. Whoever is grateful benefits himself; Allah is Independent, Bountiful.”

41.He said: “Disguise her throne; we will see if she is guided.”

42.When she came, it was said: “Is your throne like this?” She said: “It is as though it were the same.” (Solomon: “We were given knowledge before and we surrendered.”)

43.What she worshipped besides Allah had blocked her; she was from a disbelieving people.

44.She was told: “Enter the palace.” She thought it was water and uncovered her legs. He said: “It is a palace smoothed with glass.” She said: “My Lord, I wronged myself; I surrender with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”

✅ Verses 15–16: Allah gave Dawood and Sulayman special knowledge

✅ Verse 15

Verse:

“We gave David and Solomon knowledge…”

Simple meaning:

Allah gave Prophet Dawood (David) and Prophet Sulayman (Solomon) special knowledge and wisdom.

And they said:

  • ✅ “Praise be to Allah!”
  • ✅ “Allah favored us above many believers.”

Child meaning:

Dawood and Sulayman did NOT brag.

They didn’t say:

“I’m so smart!”

They said:

✅ “This is from Allah. Thank You Allah.”

Lesson:

When you get something good (skill, money, success), say: ✅ “Alhamdulillah” Don’t act proud.

Verse 27:15 illustration

✅ Verse 16

Verse:

“Solomon inherited David… we were taught the language of birds…”

Simple meaning:

After Dawood, Sulayman became the leader.

Sulayman said:

  • ✅ “Allah taught us the language of birds.”
  • ✅ “Allah gave us so many gifts.”

Child meaning:

Allah gave Sulayman a miracle:

🕊️ He could understand birds when they spoke.

Like if you could hear a bird say:

  • “Danger!”
  • “Food is there!”
  • “Follow me!”

Lesson:

Some gifts are rare and special — they are from Allah.

Verse 27:16 illustration

✅ Verse 17: Sulayman’s huge army

Verse meaning:

Sulayman had a powerful army made of:

  • ✅ humans
  • ✅ jinn
  • ✅ birds

And they were arranged in order like a perfect team.

Child meaning:

Imagine a king has an army… but it’s not only people.

He also has:

  • super strong helpers (jinn)
  • birds as scouts in the sky

And everyone listens and stays in line.

Lesson:

Sulayman had power — but it was a gift from Allah.

Verse 27:17 illustration

✅ Verses 18–19: The ants and Sulayman’s kindness

✅ Verse 18

They reached the valley of ants, and an ant said:

“Ants! Go into your homes! So Sulayman’s army doesn’t step on you by mistake!”

Child meaning:

Even ants talk and communicate.

The ant was not rude. It didn’t say “they are evil.”

It said:

✅ “They might crush us without noticing.”

So the ant tried to protect the ants.

Lesson:

Even tiny animals are part of Allah’s world and have their own life.

Verse 27:18 illustration

✅ Verse 19

Sulayman heard it and smiled.

Then he made dua:

  • ✅ “Allah help me be grateful.”
  • ✅ “Help me do good deeds.”
  • ✅ “Let me be with the righteous people.”

Child meaning:

Sulayman didn’t laugh in a mean way.

He smiled because:

  • ✅ the ant was smart
  • ✅ it cared for others

And Sulayman said:

“Allah… help me stay thankful and do good.”

Lesson:

Even when you are powerful, you must stay humble and grateful.

Verse 27:19 illustration

✅ Verses 20–22: The missing bird (Hoopoe)

✅ Verse 20

Sulayman checked the birds and said:

“Why don’t I see the hoopoe bird?”

He notices when someone is missing.

Lesson:

Good leaders pay attention.

Verse 27:20 illustration

✅ Verse 21

Sulayman said:

“If he is absent without a real reason, I will punish him.”

Lesson:

Rules are needed for safety and discipline.

Verse 27:21 illustration

✅ Verse 22

Sometimes someone looks “late” but they have a reason.

Verse 27:22 illustration

✅ Verse 23

The hoopoe said:

“I found a woman ruling them. She is rich and has a huge throne.”

  • ✅ wealth
  • ✅ power
  • ✅ a strong kingdom

But something was wrong…

Verse 27:23 illustration

✅ Verse 24

The hoopoe said:

“She and her people worship the sun.”

And Shaytan made their actions look “beautiful” to them.

Child meaning:

Shaytan tricks people like this:

He makes wrong things feel normal and nice.

So they think:

✅ “We are doing the right thing!”

But it’s wrong.

Verse 27:24 illustration

✅ Verse 25

They do not bow to Allah…

The One who brings out what is hidden and knows secrets.

Child meaning:

Allah knows:

  • ✅ what you hide inside
  • ✅ what you say out loud
  • ✅ what you do in secret

So Allah deserves worship — not the sun.

Verse 27:25 illustration

✅ Verse 26

“Allah—no god but Him—Lord of the Supreme Throne.”

Child meaning:

This is a strong message:

  • ✅ Only Allah is God.
  • ✅ Allah is the King of everything.
  • ✅ His throne is above all thrones.

✅ Verses 27–31: Sulayman sends a letter

Verse 27:26 illustration

✅ Verse 27

Sulayman said:

“We will see if you are telling the truth.”

Child meaning:

He tested the news properly.

Lesson:

Always check information before acting.

Verse 27:27 illustration

✅ Verse 28

He said:

“Take this letter, deliver it, then step back and watch what they do.”

Child meaning:

Sulayman is smart:

  • ✅ Send message first
  • ✅ Watch how they respond

Lesson:

A wise leader doesn’t rush.

Verse 27:28 illustration

Child meaning:

Her soldiers were ready to fight.

Verse 27:33 illustration

✅ Verse 34

Child meaning:

She understood war is ugly. War ruins families and homes.

So she wanted to avoid war if possible.

Verse 27:34 illustration

✅ Verse 35

She said: “I will send a gift and see what he does.”

Child meaning:

She thought: “Maybe he just wants money.”

So she tested him.

✅ Verses 36–37: Sulayman rejects the gift

✅ Verse 36

Sulayman said: “Are you helping me with wealth? What Allah gave me is better.”

Child meaning:

  • ✅ “I’m not doing this for money.”
  • ✅ “Allah gave me more than gifts.”
Verse 27:36 illustration

Child meaning:

The jinn was very fast and strong.

✅ Verse 40

Someone with knowledge said: “I will bring it before your eyes blink.”

And it appeared instantly.

Sulayman said:

  • ✅ “This is Allah’s favor to test me: Will I be grateful or ungrateful?”

Child meaning:

Sulayman didn’t say: “I’m amazing!”

He said:

  • ✅ “This is from Allah.”
  • ✅ “Allah is testing me.”
  • ✅ “If I’m grateful, I benefit myself.”

Lesson:

Power is a test. Thankfulness protects you from arrogance.

Verse 27:40 illustration

✅ Verses 41–43: Testing the Queen

✅ Verse 41

Sulayman said: “Change the throne a little. Let’s see if she notices.”

Child meaning:

This was a test: Is she smart? Is she guided?

Verse 27:41 illustration

✅ Verse 42

They asked: “Is this your throne?”

She said: “It looks like it.”

Child meaning:

She didn’t lie and say “YES 100%.”

She answered wisely: ✅ “It seems like mine.”

And Sulayman said: “We had knowledge before, and we submitted.”

Verse 27:42 illustration

✅ Verse 43

Her worship besides Allah had blocked her.

Child meaning:

Shirk had trapped her mind.

Wrong worship makes people confused.

Verse 27:43 illustration

✅ Verse 44: The glass palace and her surrender

She was told: “Enter the palace.”

She thought the floor was water, so she lifted her clothing. But it was glass.

Then she said:

  • ✅ “My Lord, I wronged myself.”
  • ✅ “I surrender with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the worlds.”

Child meaning:

This was the moment she realized:

  • ✅ Sulayman is not a normal king
  • ✅ Allah is guiding this whole situation
  • ✅ The truth is clear

So she admitted her mistake and submitted to Allah.

Lesson:

A smart person changes when truth becomes clear.

Verse 27:44 illustration

✅ Big Simple Lesson from Verses 15–44

  • ✅ Allah gives knowledge and power — and tests people with it.
  • ✅ Good believers stay grateful and humble.
  • ✅ Shaytan makes wrong feel “beautiful,” so people must wake up.
  • ✅ Truth should be followed even if it means changing your life.
  • ✅ Real success is worshipping Allah alone.
27:45–53
Salih and Thamud again: call to worship Allah; demand to “hasten evil”; superstition; nine corrupt plotters; Allah overturns their plan; ruins remain; believers saved

45.We sent to Thamud their brother Salih: “Worship Allah.” Then they became two parties disputing.

46.He said: “Why do you seek to hasten evil before good? Why not seek Allah’s forgiveness so you may receive mercy?”

47.They said: “We see evil omen from you and those with you.” He said: “Your omen is with Allah; you are being tested.”

48.There were in the city nine persons who made corruption and did not reform.

49.They said: “Swear by Allah, we will attack him and his family by night, then tell his guardian we witnessed nothing.”

50.They plotted—and We planned—while they perceived not.

51.See the end of their plot: We destroyed them and their people all together.

52.These are their houses in ruin for their wrongdoing—surely a sign for people who know.

53.We saved those who believed and were mindful (of Allah).

✅ Verse 45: Salih tells his people to worship Allah

What happened?
Allah sent Prophet Ṣāliḥ to the people of Thamūd. He told them one simple message:

  • ✅ “Worship Allah only.”

But instead of listening… the people split into two groups:

  • ✅ One group believed
  • ❌ One group fought and argued

Child meaning:
It’s like when a teacher says:

“Do the right thing.”

But half the class agrees, and half the class starts arguing and refusing.

✅ Lesson: When truth comes, some people accept it, and some people fight it.

Verse 27:45 illustration

✅ Verse 46: Salih tells them to stop rushing towards trouble

Ṣāliḥ said:

  • ✅ “Why do you rush toward evil before good?”
  • ✅ “Why don’t you ask Allah to forgive you so He can have mercy on you?”

Child meaning:
It’s like Ṣāliḥ is saying:

“Why are you running to danger?
Why not choose the good path?”

Example:
Like when a parent warns a child:

“Don’t touch the fire.”

But the child keeps trying anyway.

✅ Lesson: Smart people stop and ask forgiveness before things get worse.

Verse 27:46 illustration

✅ Verse 47: They blame Salih and say he brings bad luck

The people said to Ṣāliḥ:

  • ❌ “You and your followers are bad luck!”

Ṣāliḥ answered:

  • ✅ “Your ‘bad luck’ is from Allah.”
  • ✅ “You are being tested.”

Child meaning:
They were blaming Ṣāliḥ for their problems, like saying:

“It’s your fault we are suffering!”

But Ṣāliḥ tells them:

“No… Allah is testing you to see if you will do right or wrong.”

✅ Lesson: When people don’t want to change, they blame others instead of fixing themselves.

Verse 27:47 illustration

✅ Verse 48: 9 evil men were causing corruption

Allah says in that town there were:

  • ✅ 9 dangerous people

They were not just “bad sometimes.” They were people who:

  • ❌ spread فساد (corruption)
  • ❌ caused trouble
  • ❌ refused to become good

Child meaning:
It’s like 9 kids in school who always:

  • bully others
  • break things
  • start fights
  • never want to behave

✅ Lesson: Some people enjoy causing harm — and they refuse to stop.

Verse 27:48 illustration

✅ Verse 49: They planned to kill Salih at night

Those 9 evil men made a secret plan. They said:

  • ✅ “Let’s attack Ṣāliḥ and his family at night.”
  • ❌ “After we kill him, we will lie and say we saw nothing.”

Child meaning:
It’s like criminals saying:

“We will do something horrible… then pretend we are innocent.”

✅ Lesson: Evil people often use lies to cover their ظلم.

Verse 27:49 illustration

✅ Verse 50: They planned… but Allah planned better

Allah says:

  • ✅ They made a plan
  • ✅ But Allah made a plan too

And they didn’t even realize what was coming.

Child meaning:
It’s like someone thinks they are clever and sneaky…
But Allah is always stronger and smarter than every plan.

✅ Lesson: Nobody can beat Allah’s plan.

Verse 27:50 illustration

✅ Verse 51: The end result — they were destroyed

Allah tells us the ending:

  • ✅ Their plan backfired
  • ✅ Allah destroyed them
  • ✅ and their people with them

Child meaning:
It’s like someone digs a trap for someone else…
but they fall into the trap themselves.

✅ Lesson: ظلم always comes back to the wrongdoers.

Verse 27:51 illustration

✅ Verse 52: Their houses became ruins as a lesson

Allah says:

  • ✅ Their homes became empty ruins
  • ✅ because of their wrongdoing

And this is a sign for people who think and understand.

Lot again: public indecency; moral inversion; mockery of “purity”; rescue; destruction

54.And Lot, when he said to his people: “Do you commit indecency while you see?”

55.“Do you approach men with lust instead of women? You are a people behaving ignorantly.”

56.The only answer: “Expel Lot’s family—they are people who keep pure.”

57.We saved him and his family except his wife; We destined her among those who stayed behind.

58.We rained upon them a rain—evil was the rain of those warned.

✅ Verses 54–58 (Story of Prophet Lut) — Child-Friendly Explanation

✅ Verse 54: Lut warns his people about a very bad sin

What happened?
Prophet Lut (Lot) spoke to his people and said:

“Do you do an indecent (very shameful) thing even though you clearly know it’s wrong?”

Child meaning:
It’s like when someone does something very bad…
and they can’t even say:

“I didn’t know.”

Because they know it is wrong.

✅ Lesson: Some sins are so clear that people do them while fully aware.

Verse 27:54 illustration

✅ Verse 55: They were choosing a wrong desire path

Lut said:

“Do you go to men with desire instead of women?”
“You are behaving ignorantly.”

Child meaning:
This means Lut’s people were doing a type of behavior Allah did not allow. Lut is saying:

  • ✅ “You are following your desire.”
  • ✅ “You are not thinking properly.”
  • ✅ “You are acting in a foolish way.”

✅ Lesson: When people follow desire and ignore Allah, they become careless and confused.

Verse 27:55 illustration

✅ Verse 56: The people didn’t repent — they wanted Lut gone

Instead of saying:

“Sorry, we will stop.”

They said:

“Kick Lut and his family out! They act too pure.”

Child meaning:
It’s like bad kids in school saying:

“Get rid of that good kid.
He makes us feel guilty.”

They were angry because Lut and his family were:

  • ✅ clean
  • ✅ respectful
  • ✅ trying to do what Allah likes

✅ Lesson: Sometimes bad people hate good people just because they remind them of truth.

Verse 27:56 illustration

✅ Verse 57: Allah saved Lut and his family… except his wife

Allah says:

Verse 27:57 illustration

  • ✅ Allah saved Lut and his family
  • ❌ except his wife

Because she was not truly with him in belief.

Child meaning:
Even if someone lives with a good person…
that doesn’t automatically make them good.

Everyone must choose truth for themselves.

✅ Lesson: Your family connection doesn’t save you — your belief and choices matter.

✅ Verse 58: Punishment came after warnings

Allah says:

A terrible punishment came down on the people.

It was a punishment for people who were:

  • ✅ warned again and again
  • ✅ but still refused to change

Child meaning:

Direct tawhid argument: Creator, Provider, Responder; “Is there any god with Allah?”; unseen belongs only to Allah; people doubt the Hereafter

59.Say: “Praise be to Allah and peace upon His chosen servants. Is Allah better, or what they associate?”

60.Who created the heavens and earth and sent down water—bringing orchards—can you make their trees grow? Is there any god with Allah? They ascribe equals.

61.Who made the earth stable, placed rivers, firm mountains, and a barrier between seas? Is there any god with Allah? Most do not know.

62.Who answers the distressed when he calls and removes harm, and made you successors on earth? Is there any god with Allah? Little you remember.

63.Who guides in darkness of land and sea, and sends winds as heralds before mercy? Is there any god with Allah? Exalted is Allah above partners.

64.Who originates creation then repeats it, and provides from heaven and earth? Is there any god with Allah? Say: “Bring proof if truthful.”

65.Say: “None in heavens or earth knows the unseen except Allah; they do not perceive when they will be raised.”

66.Their knowledge does not reach the Hereafter; they are in doubt—rather, blind to it.

✅ Verses 59–66 — Child-Friendly Explanation

Verse 27:59 illustration

✅ Verse 60

Allah asks: Who made the sky, earth, rain, and gardens?

Verse 27:60 illustration

✅ Verse 61

  • 🌙 light
  • 🌧️ rain for life

Allah controls the world like a perfect system.

✅ Lesson: Allah guides people in life too — not just roads.

Verse 27:63 illustration

✅ Verse 64

Who created you the first time… and can bring you back?

Simple meaning:
  • Who started creation?
  • Who will repeat it again (resurrection)?
  • Who provides food and blessings from sky and earth?
  • Then Allah challenges them: “Bring proof if you are truthful.”
Child meaning:

Allah is saying:
“If you think something else is god… show proof.”

Like when someone says:
“I made the sun!”
You would say:
“Prove it.”

✅ Lesson: People claim many things, but only Allah has the real proof.

Verse 27:64 illustration

✅ Verse 65

Only Allah knows the unseen

Simple meaning:

Child meaning:

Only Allah knows:

  • ✅ what will happen tomorrow

They are lying.

✅ Verse 66

They doubt the Hereafter and act blind to it

Simple meaning:
  • Some people don’t understand the Hereafter.
  • They are confused and full of doubt.
  • It’s like they are blind to it.
Child meaning:

It’s like someone refusing to believe in an exam:
“No test is coming.”

So they play all year…
Then the exam comes and they panic.

✅ Lesson: Denying the Hereafter makes people careless and reckless.

Denial of resurrection; command to travel and observe outcomes; reassurance to the Messenger; Allah’s record; Qur’an clarifies Israel’s disputes; guidance for believers; limits of forcing guidance

67.Disbelievers say: “When we and our fathers are dust, will we be brought out?”

68.“We were promised this before—these are legends of the ancients.”

69.Say: “Travel the land and see the end of criminals.”

70.Do not grieve over them or be distressed by their plotting.

What they said:

  • Some people who didn’t believe said: “After we die and become dust… will we really come back to life?”
  • Then they mocked and said: “This is just an old story people always tell.”

Verse 27:70 illustration

✅ Verse 71: “When will the promise happen then?”

Simple meaning: Disbelievers kept challenging: “So when is the punishment you keep talking about?”

Child meaning:

  • They weren’t asking to learn. They were asking to mock.
  • Like someone saying: “Oh yeah? Then do it now!”
Verse 27:71 illustration

✅ Verse 72: “Some of it may be very close”

Simple meaning: Allah answers: “Maybe what you are rushing for is already close.”

Child meaning:

  • ✅ Punishment can come suddenly.
Verse 27:72 illustration

✅ Verse 73: Allah is generous… but most people aren’t grateful

Verse 27:75 illustration

✅ Verse 76: The Qur’an explains what the Children of Israel argued about

27:82–93
End-time sign (beast); gathering of deniers; day/night signs; trumpet terror; mountains moving; recompense; final command: worship Lord of the city; recite Qur’an; Allah will show signs

82.When the word is fulfilled against them, We will bring out a beast from the earth speaking to them: mankind had no certainty in Our verses.

83.On the Day We gather from every nation a group of those who denied Our signs, they will be driven in ranks.

84.When they come, He will say: “Did you deny My signs without comprehending them—or what were you doing?”

85.The word will be fulfilled against them for wrongdoing; they will not speak.

86.Do they not see We made night for rest and day for sight? Surely signs for believers.

87.On the Day the trumpet is blown, all in heavens and earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills; all come humbled.

88.You see mountains thinking them fixed, but they pass like clouds—Allah’s workmanship who perfected all. He is aware of what you do.

89.Whoever comes with a good deed will have better and will be safe from that Day’s terror.

90.Whoever comes with an evil deed will be cast on faces into Fire: “Are you repaid except what you used to do?”

91.Say: “I was commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred; His is everything; and I was commanded to be of those who surrender.”

92.“And to recite the Qur’an. Whoever is guided is guided for himself; whoever strays, say: I am only a warner.”

93.Say: “Praise be to Allah. He will show you His signs and you will recognize them. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do.”

✅ Verse 82 — The Beast from the Earth will speak

“When the word is fulfilled against them, We will bring out a beast from the earth speaking to them: mankind had no certainty in Our verses.”

Simple meaning:

Near the end of time, when many people become extremely stubborn and keep rejecting Allah, Allah will bring out a special creature (a beast) from the earth. This creature will speak to people and make the truth clear:

  • ➡️ People did not truly believe Allah’s signs.

Child meaning:

It’s like when a teacher warns the class again and again… but the class keeps laughing and ignoring. Then the teacher finally says:

  • ✅ “That’s it. Now the proof will come right in front of you.”
Lesson: Don’t wait for “proof” when Allah already gave you enough signs.

✅ Verse 83 — Allah will gather the deniers in groups

“On the Day We gather from every nation a group of those who denied Our signs, they will be driven in ranks.”

Simple meaning:

On Judgement Day, Allah will gather people from every nation who rejected His signs. They will be moved forward in lines, like prisoners being marched.

Child meaning:

It’s like the school calling all the troublemakers into one line:

  • ✅ “You — come forward.”

No one can hide. No one can escape.

Lesson: Allah knows who rejected the truth, even if they pretended to be good.

✅ Verse 84 — Allah will question them

“Did you deny My signs without comprehending them—or what were you doing?”

Simple meaning:

Allah will question them and expose their real problem:

  • ❓ They rejected the truth without even trying to understand it.
  • ❓ They were careless and treated the message like a game.

Child meaning:

It’s like someone says:

  • “I didn’t even read the rules… but I still said the rules are stupid.”
Lesson: Don’t reject something just because you don’t like it. Learn first.

✅ Verse 85 — They will be unable to talk

“The word will be fulfilled against them for wrongdoing; they will not speak.”

Simple meaning:

Allah’s judgement will be confirmed against them because of their ظلم (wrongdoing). They will be too shocked, too guilty, and unable to defend themselves.

Child meaning:

It’s like being caught doing something wrong with full proof. You want to speak… but you can’t — because you know you’re wrong.

Lesson: Ignoring Allah leads to a moment where regret is too late.

✅ Verse 86 — Night and day are signs

“Do they not see We made night for rest and day for sight? Surely signs for believers.”

Simple meaning:

Allah reminds people of something everyone experiences:

  • ✅ Night = time to rest
  • ✅ Day = time to see and work

This is not random — it is perfectly designed and balanced.

Child meaning:

It’s like Allah made the world with a perfect schedule:

  • Night = sleep mode
  • Day = work mode
Lesson: Even simple things (like day and night) are proof of Allah’s planning.

✅ Verse 87 — The Trumpet will be blown

“On the Day the trumpet is blown, all in heavens and earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills; all come humbled.”

Simple meaning:

Judgement Day will begin with the trumpet being blown. Everyone will be terrified — then everyone will come to Allah humbled and powerless.

Child meaning:

Imagine the loudest “final alarm” ever — an alarm that makes the whole world stop. Everyone will realize:

  • “I’m going back to Allah now.”
Lesson: The Day of Judgement is real — and nobody will be able to act “brave” then.

✅ Verse 88 — Mountains will move like clouds

“You see mountains thinking them fixed, but they pass like clouds… Allah perfected all. He is aware of what you do.”

Simple meaning:

Mountains look solid and unmovable. But on that Day, they will move and pass away like clouds. This shows Allah’s power and perfect control.

Child meaning:

Mountains are the biggest “solid” thing we know. Allah says:

  • ✅ Even mountains will move.

So nothing is stronger than Allah — and Allah knows everything you do.

Lesson: If Allah can move mountains, then bringing people back to life is easy for Him.

✅ Verse 89 — Good deeds bring safety

“Whoever comes with a good deed will have better and will be safe from that Day’s terror.”

Simple meaning:

Whoever comes to Allah with good deeds will receive:

  • ✅ more reward than they expected
  • ✅ safety from the fear of that Day

Child meaning:

It’s like coming to the teacher with your homework done. You are not scared — you feel safe.

Lesson: Good deeds don’t only earn reward — they also give peace.

✅ Verse 90 — Evil deeds bring punishment

“Whoever comes with an evil deed will be cast on faces into Fire…”

Simple meaning:

Whoever comes full of evil (rejecting Allah and harming others) will face the Fire. And it will be said:

  • “Are you repaid except what you used to do?”

Child meaning:

It’s like someone breaks rules again and again, lies, bullies, and refuses truth… Then they finally face consequences.

Lesson: Allah is perfectly fair — punishment is not random, it is earned.

✅ Verse 91 — Worship the Lord of Makkah

“I was commanded to worship the Lord of this city… His is everything… and I was commanded to surrender.”

Simple meaning:

The Prophet is commanded to clearly say:

  • ✅ I worship Allah — the Lord of this sacred city (Makkah).
  • ✅ Everything belongs to Him.
  • ✅ I submit to Him.

Child meaning:

It’s like saying:

  • “I obey Allah because He owns everything.”
Lesson: Worship is not tradition — it is obedience to the Owner of all things.

✅ Verse 92 — The Qur’an is the warning and guidance

“And to recite the Qur’an… Whoever is guided is guided for himself… I am only a warner.”

Simple meaning:

The Prophet’s job is:

  • ✅ Recite the Qur’an clearly.

Whoever follows it benefits himself. Whoever rejects it, the Prophet has still delivered the warning.

Child meaning:

It’s like a lifeguard shouting:

  • “Don’t jump there — it’s dangerous!”

If someone listens, they are saved. If someone ignores, it was their choice.

Lesson: The Qur’an helps you — but you must choose to follow it.

✅ Verse 93 — Allah will show His signs

“Praise be to Allah. He will show you His signs and you will recognize them… Your Lord is not unaware of what you do.”

Simple meaning:

Allah says the truth will become completely clear. People will recognize His signs — and Allah is aware of every action and intention.

Child meaning:

Even if someone pretends now, or mocks now… Allah says:

  • ✅ “One day you will see the truth with your own eyes.”

And Allah never misses anything:

  • ✅ not your words
  • ✅ not your intentions
  • ✅ not what you did in secret
Lesson: Allah sees everything, and the truth will always win.

✅ The BIG message of verses 82–93 (Child summary)

  • ✅ Allah will bring huge signs near the end (like the Beast).
  • ✅ The Day of Judgement will be terrifying and real.
  • ✅ Even mountains will move — Allah’s power controls everything.
  • ✅ Good deeds = safety and reward.
  • ✅ Evil deeds = punishment and regret.
  • ✅ The Prophet’s job is to warn with the Qur’an.
  • ✅ Allah knows everything you do.
